Product description
MANUKA FOAM AIR is a sterile, non-stick foam dressing, soaked on the surface with medical grade Manuka honey (Leptospermum scoparium). The product is CMH (Certified Manuka Honey) certified, confirming its quality and effectiveness in wound treatment.
Purpose
MANUKA FOAM AIR dressings provide a moist wound environment to support the healing process. They can be used without a prescription for:
- Minor abrasions
- Minor scrapes
- Minor cuts
- Minor, light burns
Use under the supervision of a specialist
Under the supervision of a doctor or specialist, MANUKA FOAM AIR can be used to treat:
- Leg ulcers
- Bedsores
- 1st and 2nd degree burns (superficial and incomplete thickness of the epidermis)
- Diabetic foot ulcers
- Surgical wounds
- Traumatic wounds
The moist wound environment allows autolytic debridement of necrotic tissue, aiding the regeneration process.
Directions for use
- Remove the MANUKA FOAM AIR dressing from the bag.
- Remove the protective pads.
- Apply the dressing directly to the wound with the honeycomb pattern side down.
- Secure with a plaster or secondary dressing.
- If necessary, the dressing can be cut to size.
Frequency of dressing change
Frequency of change depends on degree of exudate, surrounding interstitial fluid, oedema and type of secondary dressing. If the exudate is intense, the honey may be diluted and absorbed by the secondary dressing, requiring more frequent changes.
Do not use for longer than 30 days.
